General Motors is seeking a Staff Counsel for Global Purchasing and Supply Chain (GPSC) to deliver strategic legal guidance on commercial, procurement, and supply chain matters. The role requires business‑m minded judgment and the ability to manage multiple priorities across GM’s structure.

The ideal candidate will draft and negotiate complex agreements, support cross‑functional teams, and drive process improvements while aligning with GM’s strategic and financial objectives.

Competenze

• Active law license in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.
• Experience advising on strategic commercial relationships or high‑value transactions.
• Ability to obtain Michigan in-house counsel admission if required.
• Excellent verbal and written communication; ability to translate complex concepts clearly.

• Draft, negotiate, and interpret complex commercial agreements, including strategic sourcing, technology, licensing, and supply‑chain contracts.
• Provide legal and strategic advice to GPSC clients to advance business objectives while balancing risk.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to structure transactions and support execution of initiatives.
• Develop contracting processes, playbooks, templates, and training to improve efficiency and consistency.
• Analyze and advise on complex legal and operational issues with enterprise‑wide risk perspective.
• Build relationships with clients, legal colleagues, and business partners across GM.
