Strike is seeking a senior lawyer to own the European and UK legal function and support international expansion. You will set regulatory strategy, obtain and maintain licenses, counsel product and commercial teams, and manage outside counsel across the region.

You will work directly with the General Counsel, lead regulator engagement, and oversee AML/CFT and GDPR in Europe, with focus on MFSA and FCA. The role blends leadership with hands-on execution in a fast-moving fintech.

Formación

• Qualified lawyer admitted in an EU/EEA Member State or UK.
• Experience across EU and UK law.
• 10+ years post-qualification legal experience in-house or financial services.
• Proven track record owning regulatory/licensing matters.
• Experience drafting and negotiating material commercial agreements.
• Excellent written and spoken English; other European languages are a plus.

Responsabilidades

• Serve as the senior legal lead for Strike’s European and UK business, responsible for regulatory, product, and commercial legal matters.
• Develop and drive European regulatory strategy; obtain, maintain, and passport licenses across EU/UK; ensure compliance with PSD2, e-money, Travel Rule, FinProm.
• Counsel product teams on regulatory considerations throughout the product lifecycle.
• Lead negotiations on material commercial agreements underpinning the European business; manage outside counsel and budgets.
• Oversee regulator engagement with MFSA (Malta) and FCA (UK) and support AML/CFT, GDPR data protection, and cross-border initiatives.
