Kraken is seeking a hands-on Regulatory Legal lawyer to lead BAU regulatory work for UK licensing and ongoing supervision. The role requires strong fluency in UK financial services regulation, with direct FCA engagement experience and Cryptoasset Regime expertise.

You will translate complex rules into practical guidance for product and business teams, maintaining regulator relationships and supporting corporate transactions related to UK entities.

Qualifications

• Qualified lawyer with regulatory law experience in financial services.
• 6+ years' PQE in financial services regulatory law.
• Experience with FCA or equivalent regulator engagement.
• UK Cryptoasset Regime experience (FCA authorisation).
• AML/CTF regulation experience and outsourcing/resilience knowledge.
• Strong drafting, analytical, and plain-English writing skills.

Responsabilités

• Provide regulatory support on cryptoasset, e-money and payment services obligations.
• Support licensing applications and UK regulatory registrations, including coordinating with outside counsel.
• Advise on corporate transactions impacting UK entities (change-of-control, migrations).
• Maintain day-to-day regulator relationships for licensed entities.
• Translate complex regimes into practical guidance for business teams.
• Promote clarity and actionable risk-based recommendations.
