Job summary

Kraken is seeking a senior product-facing regulatory lawyer for the European Union. You will advise on MiFID II/MiCA, PSD2, EMD2, EMIR and banking rules, helping product teams launch compliant offerings.

You will lead cross-functional counselling from discovery to launch, mentor junior lawyers, and manage external counsel on EU licensing and regulatory matters to support Kraken’s growing platform.

Qualifications

• Qualified lawyer admitted in Ireland, England and Wales.
• Experience advising on MiFID II/MiCA/PSD2/EMD2 and related regimes.
• Ability to draft and negotiate client-facing terms and conditions.
• Lead cross-functional regulatory projects and advise leadership on regulatory strategy.

Responsibilities

• Provide cross-regulatory guidance across MiFID II, MiCA, EMIR and payments rules.
• Draft and negotiate client-facing terms and conditions with business units.
• Advise on licensing, registration, and regulatory strategy for EU launches.
• Lead or oversee licensing and variation workstreams with external counsel where needed.
