Job summary

HackerOne seeks a trusted Senior Counsel, Employment & Compliance to lead the Legal team's employment, litigation, and compliance functions. You will partner with business leaders across the company, balance legal risk with growth, and report to the Chief Legal Officer.

Qualifications

J.D. from ABA-accredited law school or global equivalent; active bar admission in good standing.
7+ years of legal experience advising on global labor and employment matters, compliance, employee relations, and investigations.
Experience managing complex legal matters including litigation or dispute resolution and cross-functional advisory work.

Responsibilities

Serve as trusted senior advisor to executives and cross-functional stakeholders on U.S. and global labor and employment matters.
Advise on sensitive employee relations issues, compliance, investigations, and performance management.
Coordinate with Commercial/Product/Revenue teams to assess platform and marketplace legal risk.
Manage dispute resolution, legal process, investigations, e‑discovery, and regulatory inquiries.
Provide counsel on regulatory and compliance issues related to the platform, customers, and workforce.
Act as AI-forward legal partner by identifying opportunities to use AI for research, risk, and workflow efficiency.
