Job summary

CSAA Insurance Group seeks a Sr. Counsel, Commercial Transactions to lead complex insurance distribution and reinsurance arrangements. This remote role supports the organization’s Commercial Contracts function across the United States, excluding Hawaii and Alaska.

You will structure, draft, and negotiate sophisticated transactions, coordinate multi-party programs, and advise business partners on regulatory and contractual risk. A U.S. J.D. and 10+ years of experience are required.

Qualifications

• J.D. from an accredited U.S. law school is required.
• Ability to communicate verbally and in writing in an organized, effective, and timely manner.
• Ability to work in an organized and efficient manner.

Responsibilities

• Lead the structuring, drafting, and negotiation of complex insurance distribution arrangements, including agency and aggregator relationships.
• Advise on reinsurance transactions, including inbound, outbound, catastrophe, and opportunistic reinsurance.
• Structure complex, multi-party insurance programs and commercial transactions, including fleet programs and fronting arrangements.
• Coordinate suites of interrelated agreements and translate novel business models into workable legal structures.
• Partner across the organization on strategic initiatives and other commercial matters.
