Job summary

Walker is a full-service Experience Management firm. The Sr Manager, Contracts & Commercial Risk owns the contract lifecycle and serves as the primary negotiator on agreements with clients and vendors.

This remote role supports our Indianapolis headquarters with quarterly travel for key meetings. You will partner with sales, delivery, IT, and HR to ensure terms are clear, compliant, and protective of Walker.

Qualifications

• 8+ years negotiating professional services and technology contracts.
• Experience negotiating MSAs, SOWs, NDAs, and DPAs.
• Familiarity with SOC 2, data privacy, and security compliance.
• Experience in the technology services industry with enterprise clients.

Responsibilities

• Direct and manage outside counsel on complex matters and control legal spend.
• Review, redline, and negotiate client and vendor contracts (NDAs, MSAs, DPAs, SOWs).
• Serve as primary contract review contact, aligning terms with sales and delivery.
• Maintain standard contract templates and ensure consistent language across all agreements.
• Oversee post-signature obligations on data handling, security, and confidentiality.
• Collaborate with security/compliance on data privacy and security.
• Monitor engagements for commercial risk and escalate issues.
• Ensure terms comply with GDPR/CCPA and other regulations.
• Develop contract playbooks, templates, and streamlined processes.
• Provide training on terms, negotiation guardrails, and risk.
• Embrace AI-native mindset to improve efficiency with AI tools.
