Job summary

Eastern Research Group, Inc. seeks a Senior Contract Administrator to lead the full lifecycle of government contracts from proposal development through closeout.

You will advise clients and internal teams, ensuring compliance, managing risk, and driving successful contract execution. This senior role requires prime contractor experience, superb attention to detail, and the ability to mentor junior staff while improving department policies and best practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• 12+ years of contract administration for government contracts.
• Experience with GSA schedules, EPA, and DoD contracting a plus.
• Expertise in proposal pricing, negotiation, and problem solving.
• Proficiency in Excel, Word, and Adobe.
• Knowledge of FAR and contract types (CPFF, T&M, FFP).
• Deltek Costpoint ERP experience a plus.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Administer federal, state, and local contracts across the full lifecycle.
• Collaborate with clients and cross-functional teams for contract support.
• Advise senior management on risk, compliance, and strategy.
• Drive compliant, competitive proposals with technical and business leads.
• Research and improve contract department policies and procedures.
• Support training and development within the Contracts Department.
• Prepare, analyze, and negotiate cost and pricing proposals.
• Implement procurement policies and best practices.
• Mentor junior contract professionals and guide contracting practices.
• Support contract closeout activities with accuracy and timeliness.
