Job summary

Analytical Mechanics Associates (AMA) seeks a mid-level to senior Contracts Administrator to independently manage the full life cycle of prime contracts and subcontracts AMA awards to other companies, agreements under which AMA performs as a subcontractor, and commercial agreements.

This role supports NASA and DoD programs from Huntsville, AL, with hybrid or remote arrangements possible for qualified candidates. Candidates must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, or Master’s Certificate in Government Contracting.
• 5+ years of progressive contracts or subcontract administration for mid-level.
• 8+ years for senior-level, including independent management of complex agreements.
• FAR/DFARS knowledge and application to prime contracts and subcontracts.
• Experience with cost-type, fixed-price, and labor-based contracts.

Responsibilities

• Administer prime contracts, delivery orders, and task orders from pre-award to closeout.
• Coordinate reviews of terms and legal sufficiency of documents.
• Manage subcontracts through full lifecycle including negotiations.
• Prepare and evaluate subcontractor proposals and source selections.
• Interpret clauses, assess risks, and propose mitigations.
• Coordinate with finance to resolve funding and cost issues.
