Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• 10+ years of residential mortgage lending or construction experience.
• State Builder or General Contractor License.
• Extensive knowledge of residential mortgage lending and construction.
• Strong verbal and interpersonal communication.

Responsibilities

• Performs comprehensive review of construction contracts to ensure alignment with policy.
• Identify and resolve contract inconsistencies and communicate risk.
• Provide onboarding guidance to MLOs and CLA funding specialists.
• Review third party inspection reports and draw-related issues.
• Monitor active construction loan portfolio and detect negative trends.
• Coordinate communication between borrowers, builders, and bank teams.
• Provide guidance on loans in disputes or liens in collaboration with Special Assets and Legal.
• Mentor junior specialists, funding specialists, and mortgage personnel.
• Approve builder, contract budgets, deposits, and minor exceptions to procedures.
