Job summary

Jones Lang LaSalle Incorporated is seeking a Senior Commissioning Engineer to lead commissioning activities for large-scale critical facility construction projects. This role requires comprehensive expertise in MEP systems commissioning, QA/QC programs, and technical leadership throughout all project phases from design through post-construction.

The position is remote-based with preference for the Arlington, VA area, but open to qualified individuals in VA and nearby states.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 10 years of relevant MEP engineering and/or field-testing experience.
• Minimum 5 years providing building commissioning and/or construction QA/QC field services.
• Experience with ASHRAE, CSA, and LEED standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead commissioning activities across all project phases including design, pre-construction, construction, and post-construction.
• Conduct field-based commissioning activities including site visits, startup witnessing, functional testing, and integrated systems testing.
• Prepare inspection checklists, test scripts, procedures, and project documentation including SOPs and MOPs.
• Coordinate with General Contractors, MEP trades, inspectors, AHJs, consultants, and contractors; chair meetings and lead cross-functional teams.
• Review design drawings, specifications, and submittals; manage fee allocation, schedules, and QA/QC standards.
