Job summary

Rubix Foods is hiring a Senior Commercialization Scientist to drive scale-up and commercialization of new foods. You will lead projects across benchtop to full-scale production within Rubix Foods’ network, coordinating with R&D, QA, Regulatory, Sales, Supply Chain, and manufacturing partners to ensure successful customer launches.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Food Science or related field; Master’s preferred.
• Minimum 5 years in food manufacturing commercialization with scale-up leadership; 7+ years preferred.
• Experience with third-party or contract manufacturers.
• Strong project management, risk assessment, and cross-functional collaboration.
• Willingness to travel up to 70% domestically.

Responsibilities

• Lead scale up of new products from benchtop/pilot to full-scale production.
• Own commercialization projects with plans, milestones, risks, deliverables, and status updates.
• Assess manufacturing risks, process variables, and scale-up considerations for facilities.
• Develop and implement production processes; train manufacturing teams.
• Prepare product specs, quality standards, processing requirements, and customer docs.
• Publish and maintain Commercialization Packets with formulas, COA, labeling, parameters.
