Qualifications

• 8+ years of directly related analytical experience in a related industry
• Bachelor's degree in mathematics, business, statistics, economics, computer science or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Expert in Microsoft Office Suite, SQL (Snowflake preferred), Visual Basic, data visualization tools such as Power BI or Tableau
• Superior research, statistical, analytical, data processing and mathematical skills with ability to structure and conduct analyses
• Demonstrated leadership and mentoring experience
• Ability to conduct meetings and deliver formal presentations
• Skills to coach, mentor, evaluate and provide training, guidance and constructive feedback to staff
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Experience in Microsoft Office Suite, SQL, Visual Basic, data visualization tools such as Power BI or Tableau, and various structured analysis and design techniques
• Expert knowledge of insurance, accounting and rate-making concepts
• Strong ability to independently solve technical challenges by leveraging online resources
• Demonstrated analytical agility and curiosity
• Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment
• Direct claims experience or analytical actuarial experience (preferred)

Responsibilities

• Identify emerging trends and issues in a consultative role and present to senior management
• Perform complex data analysis for Commercial Claims aligned to business and portfolio objectives
• Provide interpretation and insight on proposals and guide outcomes
• Translate ambiguous business questions into structured analytical approaches and actionable insights
• Range of analyses including root cause, cost benefit, performance tracking, forecasting and exploration
• Identify and interpret trends, risks, and opportunities impacting client and portfolio performance
• Formulate data-driven recommendations to improve operational efficiency, loss outcomes, and business strategy
• Collaborate with Claims, Product, Underwriting, Actuarial, Finance, and Technology to define problems and deliver solutions
• Drive alignment and communicate insights to senior leadership
• Build relationships to support adoption and execution of insights
• Contribute to data pipelines, reporting frameworks, and analytical standards
• Help establish governance and scalable analytics practices
• Support AI-enabled and automated analytics capabilities
• Leverage industry data to evaluate results against industry
• Provide guidance and mentorship to junior analysts
• Foster a collaborative, curious, high-performing culture
