Job summary

Appspace is seeking a highly skilled Cloud Security Engineer to join our team. In this customer-facing role you will design, implement, and optimize secure cloud configurations across GCP, Azure, and AWS, with a strong emphasis on GCP, helping our clients build robust, compliant cloud environments.

You’ll lead security operations, provide guidance on SaaS security, IAM, encryption, and risk assessments, and collaborate with clients to deliver secure, measurable outcomes.

Qualifications

• 7-10 years progressive cloud security experience.
• Experience with Azure and GCP security services and managing cloud security alerts.
• Security Certifications: CISSP is required

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and optimize robust cloud security architectures.
• Respond to customer questionnaires and create diagrams and artifacts.
• Review security alerts and expand alerting/reporting capabilities.
• Provide guidance on securing SaaS applications, IAM, encryption, and API security.
• Lead compliance initiatives with GDPR, SOC 2, ISO 27001, CMMC, CSA STAR.
• Communicate complex security concepts to diverse stakeholders.
• Assist incident response and remediation planning.
• Stay updated on emerging cloud security threats and practices.
