Job summary

AnaVation is seeking a REMOTE Senior Cloud Platform Engineer to design, build, and operate a cloud-native platform for legal investigations using Azure, AKS, Terraform, and GitOps. US Citizenship with a Public Trust/Secret/Top Secret clearance is REQUIRED.

The role emphasizes containerized workloads, strong observability, and collaboration with federal-government projects. Candidates must be ready to work remotely across the continental United States and support Eastern Time business hours.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field
• Five years of hands-on experience cloud platform engineering, SRE, or DevOps
• Experience supporting large, distributed systems within the Federal Government
• US Citizenship and ability to maintain a High Risk Public Trust designation
• Deep hands-on experience with Azure, AKS, and Kubernetes operations
• Docker, Helm, and Kustomize experience
• Terraform, Terragrunt, and modular IaC
• GitOps with Argo CD and GitHub workflows
• Observability tools: Azure Monitor, Log Analytics/KQL
• Strong communication and collaboration with diverse teams

Responsibilities

• Operate and optimize AKS: upgrades, scaling, node pools, troubleshooting
• Build and manage IaC with Terraform and Terragrunt
• Implement GitOps with Argo CD and GitHub workflows
• Deploy and maintain containerized workloads using Docker, Helm, Kustomize
• Manage Azure networking, identity, and security (VNets, Private Link, RBAC, Key Vault)
• Run Azure data services: PostgreSQL Flexible Server, Service Bus, Redis, AI Search, Storage, ACR
• Own reliability: monitoring, alerting, KQL dashboards, incident response, performance tuning
