Job summary

Xactus, a leading mortgage verification innovator, is seeking a hands-on Senior Cloud Engineer to design, build, and operate platform capabilities across infrastructure-as-code, AI/Bedrock integrations, and DevOps tooling. You will own pipelines, observability, and platform security while mentoring engineers and shaping platform strategy.

You will lead RFCs/ADR discussions, contribute to reliability and performance, and collaborate with product teams to onboard services and enable self-service

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS/IT or related field or equivalent experience.
• 5–8 years of cloud platform engineering experience with Azure preferred; AWS/GCP acceptable.
• 3–5 years hands-on with IaC (Terraform strongly preferred).
• 3–5 years hands-on with cloud-based AI automation platforms (Bedrock).

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain cloud infrastructure via IaC.
• Build and evolve GitOps and CI/CD pipelines to support developer workflows.
• Operate and scale Kubernetes-based workloads (EKS/GKE/AKS).
• Implement observability tooling and define SLI/SLOs & MTTR improvements.
• Drive platform security and compliance with IAM and secret management.
• Lead RFCs/ADRs and contribute to platform architecture decisions.
• Own incident response playbooks and participate in on‑call rotations.
• Create reusable platform modules to accelerate adoption.
• Collaborate with product teams for smooth rollouts and ownership boundaries.
• Mentor engineers and participate in hiring and interviews.
