Job summary

OnBoard is seeking a Sr. Cloud Engineer to guide the delivery and operation of cloud services. You will help scale, secure, and optimize our Azure-based solutions while contributing to automation and adhering to well-architected standards.

With 7–10 years of experience, you should be proficient in Terraform, Bicep, ARM, PowerShell or Python, and Kubernetes. You will implement guardrails, monitor production resources, participate in incident retrospectives, and collaborate across teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field preferred.
• 7–10 years in a similar cloud engineering role.
• Deep understanding of Azure and related tools.
• Experience deploying, logging, and monitoring applications/services on Azure.
• Experience with scripting (PowerShell/Bash/Python) and IaC tools like Terraform, Bicep, ARM.
• Experience with Microsoft/Azure SQL Server and version control systems.
• Production SaaS experience and knowledge of containers/Kubernetes.

Responsibilities

• Build cloud components across network, security, identity, operations, and governance in Azure.
• Monitor and scale production resources for high availability and security.
• Troubleshoot incidents and participate in retrospective analyses.
• Plan capability, functionality, and sustainability of service components cost-efficiently.
• Design cloud best practices, guardrails, and automation for repeatable delivery.
• Operationalize solutions from PoC to production with automation.
