GovCIO is seeking a Senior Cloud Data Engineer to support the VA Data Modernization initiative and design, provision, and automate cloud-based data workspaces.

The ideal candidate brings expertise in Databricks, VHA Data Lake integrations, and automated workspace creation, enabling rapid onboarding and governance for VA data assets. This is a fully remote role within the United States.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor’s degree plus 12 years of IT/Engineering experience or equivalent
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
• Preferred: Databricks and Azure cloud platform expertise

Aufgaben

• Create cloud workspaces with common tools to speed onboarding
• Lead migration of on-premise to cloud-based solutions
• Develop and maintain network, policy, and procedure documentation
• Automate provisioning for user intake, workspace creation, and data access
• Lead data platform engineers, security teams, and analytics stakeholders for compliant operations
• Map new users to workspace personas and configurations
• Configure Databricks workspaces, service principals, RBAC, and security settings
• Create and manage Databricks catalogs, mounts, and data lake integrations
• Troubleshoot cloud provisioning, access, and workspace issues
• Document processes, SOPs, and configurations for repeatability
• Provide white-glove support to users to ensure adoption
