Job summary

Peraton is seeking a Senior Cloud Data Architect with Databricks Lakehouse expertise to lead the data engineering foundation for a federal migration program. This remote role requires designing ETL pipelines, schema harmonization, and data quality frameworks in a FedRAMP-compliant AWS hybrid cloud.

You will oversee the design of Delta Live Tables pipelines, metadata standards, and an authoritative source registry, while guiding production deployment and documentation for government review.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required with extensive professional experience in cloud data architecture
• Experience with Databricks, Delta Lake/Delta Live Tables, and FedRAMP compliance
• Strong background in designing data lakehouse architectures for large-scale migrations

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and implementation of cloud data lakehouse architecture for federal species data ingestion
• Design Delta Live Tables ETL pipelines and data transformation stages
• Oversee schema harmonization and field-level mapping documentation
• Define metadata standards and authoritative source registry design
• Oversee ETL pipeline development with version control and peer review
• Develop data quality validation frameworks within ETL pipelines
• Produce Data Model Harmonization Report for government review
• Lead operational handoff with documentation for data refresh and monitoring
• Provide cloud data architecture guidance for FedRAMP production deployment
