Job summary

StratusGrid is seeking a Senior Cloud Optimization Engineer to manually assess and optimize AWS and Azure environments, deliver measurable savings, and validate agent-driven workflows. You will partner with Product and Engineering to calibrate Stratusphere-driven plans and ensure safe, auditable changes for customers.

The role emphasizes ownership, urgency, and strong written and verbal communication to align technical work with business goals. Remote-friendly in the United States.

Qualifications

• Proven ability to operate in production AWS and Azure environments with multi-account patterns.
• Hands-on optimization across compute, storage, networking, and reservations.
• Strong IaC skills with disciplined git workflows and rollback planning.
• Experience translating cost data into actionable optimization plans.

Responsibilities

• Manually assess customer AWS/Azure environments to identify optimization opportunities.
• Review Stratusphere output for safety, feasibility, and impact before approval.
• Build trust with customer stakeholders and clearly communicate options and outcomes.
• Connect daily optimization work to StratusGrid strategy and customer goals.
• Capture patterns in agent errors and improve workflows with Product/Engineering.
