AquaPhoenix Scientific Inc. seeks a Systems Engineer and Applications Architect to lead design, configuration, implementation, and automation of its AWS-based cloud architecture. This remote role offers standard business hours with flexibility to meet team needs.

You will architect secure, scalable infrastructure, implement IaC, ensure security compliance, and mentor engineering teams while collaborating across software, security, and operations.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
• 10–15 years of experience in Systems Engineering, Infrastructure Engineering, DevOps, or Site Reliability Engineering.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without visa sponsorship.
• Hands-on experience at Senior, Staff, or Principal Engineer level.
• Excellent troubleshooting and analytical skills.
• Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
• Excellent analytical, decision-making, problem-solving, team and time management skills.
• Ability to persuade and influence others with a non-authoritative presence.

Responsabilidades

• Architect secure, fault-tolerant, and scalable cloud infrastructure (VPCs, networking, storage).
• Collaborate with planning, implementation, and support of enterprise infrastructure.
• Implement security controls (IAM, KMS, encryption, RBAC) and ensure compliance with standards.
• Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend improvements to existing systems.
• Work with software development, security, infrastructure, and business teams to deliver integrated solutions.
• Design APIs, integration frameworks, and middleware solutions as required.
• Implement automation using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation.
• Monitor system performance and optimize application availability, reliability, and scalability.
• Perform capacity planning, disaster recovery planning, and business continuity initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with security standards, governance policies, and regulatory requirements.
• Troubleshoot complex infrastructure and application issues.
• Lead technical reviews, architecture governance, and design documentation.
• Mentor and provide technical leadership across project teams.
• Participate in project planning, budgeting, and vendor evaluations.
• Optimize cloud and infrastructure performance and costs.
