Job summary

Wheeler Clinic in Connecticut seeks an Access Mental Health Senior Clinician to provide telephonic clinical consultation for school-based health centers (SBHC) in Wheeler’s AMH Hub region. The role includes referrals to a Child Psychiatrist, supporting SBHC staff with behavior strategies, and outreach to promote services across rural CT communities.

The position requires CT licensure (LCSW/LPC/LMFT/Psychologist), a Master's or Doctoral degree in relevant fields, and travel.

Qualifications

• Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Counseling.
• Minimum of 2 years of progressive clinical experience.
• Licensed in Connecticut (LCSW, LPC, LMFT, Psychologist) and driver's license required.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical consultation primarily via telephone for SBHC programs.
• Facilitate referrals to the team’s Child Psychiatrist for evaluations.
• Support SBHC staff with behavior strategies and linking services.
• Engage SBHC sites to promote services and increase visibility in CT rural communities.
• Travel as needed for community outreach services.
• Document all client information in compliance with agency policy and complete supervision as required.
