Job summary

CRC Group is seeking a Senior Claim Specialist in the United States (Texas) to investigate, evaluate, and resolve moderately complex property and casualty claims. The position prefers a Bachelor's degree in Business, Insurance, Risk Management, or related field, with 5-7 years of claims experience.

Qualifications

• 5-7 years of relevant claims handling experience in property and casualty.
• Experience with claims management systems and standard office software.
• Appropriate state adjuster license or ability to obtain within a specified timeframe.
• Industry certifications such as AIC or CPCU are preferred but not mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough investigations including gathering statements, reviewing policy coverage, and analyzing relevant documentation.
• Evaluate exposure and potential liability based on policy language and facts.
• Maintain accurate documentation, claim notes, and reports in compliance with internal standards.
• Collaborate with internal teams, legal counsel, and external vendors as necessary.
• Ensure compliance with all applicable regulations, internal policies, and service-level agreements.
• Handle a portfolio of moderately complex property and casualty claims from intake to resolution.

The Senior Claim Specialist is responsible for investigating, evaluating, and resolving moderately complex claims within established guidelines and authority levels. The role ensures timely, fair, and cost-effective claims handling while maintaining regulatory compliance and delivering superior customer service. Handle a portfolio of moderately complex property and casualty claims from intake to resolution.

• Conduct thorough investigations, including gathering statements, reviewing policy coverage, and analyzing relevant documentation.
• Evaluate exposure and potential liability based on policy language and facts.
• Maintain accurate documentation, claim notes, and reports in compliance with internal standards.
• Collaborate with internal teams, legal counsel, and external vendors as necessary.
• Ensure compliance with all applicable regulations, internal policies, and service-level agreements.

CERTIFICATIONS / LICENSES / REGISTRATIONS

• Appropriate state adjuster license(s) required or the ability to obtain within a specified timeframe.
• Industry certifications such as Associate in Claims (AIC) or CPCU coursework are preferred but not mandatory.
• Claims investigation and evaluation skills.
• Knowledge of insurance policy interpretation and coverage analysis.
• Ability to manage multiple claims and meet deadlines.
• Proficient in claims systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Customer service orientation with attention to detail.
