First Merchants Bank is seeking a Senior Centralized Funding Specialist to support the commercial lending process, review loan documentation, boarding and funding in compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies. This role can be remote within our footprint.

The position emphasizes collaboration with relationship managers, closers, and other stakeholders to ensure timely funding and accurate documentation.

Qualifications

• Five years of loan administrative or operations experience in commercial loans.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Review commercial loan documentation operational mechanics for compatibility with the loan system.
• Collaborate with relationship managers, closer and LOB staff to gather information and resolve documentation, closing, boarding and funding.
• Oversee funding of new and amended loan transactions, ensuring timely disbursement and adherence to approval conditions.
• Maintain detailed records and documentation in loan systems and databases.
• Act as a SME to guide team members in loan documentation, boarding and funding processes.
• Identify deal attributes not supported by the servicing system and escalate for workarounds or manual intervention.
