Job summary

Qualifications

Associates Degree in related field.
High School Graduate.
3 or more years experience as a registrar or abstracting.
Bachelor's Degree in related field.
Certified Tumor Registrar - National Cancer Registrars Association (NCRA)
Epic and Cancer Registry software experience.

Responsibilities

Identifies applicable reportable cases (case finding) for abstract entry according to governing cancer registry bodies, including national and central registry requirements.
Abstracts all analytic and non-analytic cases according to the Commission on Cancer standards.
Performs follow-up review annually on all active patients.
Interacts with patients and their designated contacts in a discrete and professional manner.
Maintains work records and policies and procedures.
Meets the quality, performance and production standards defined by the department.
Presents ongoing quality assurance/performance improvement auditing, tracking, and trending for the 10% required review of analytic cases.
Assures cases are submitted timely and accurately.
