Job summary

Syms Strategic Group, LLC is seeking an experienced requirements analyst for a 100% remote role based in the United States. You will lead software requirements capture, collaborate with users and IT, and document requirements in ALM tools.

The position requires SAFe/Agile expertise, strong communication, and extensive experience in backlog management and change control. Applicants should have a Master’s degree in engineering or a related field and at least 10 years of professional experience.

Qualifications

• Must possess a strong background in software development and SAFe methods.
• Excellent oral and written communication; able to translate complex topics.

• Past experience conducting independent research to resolve questions.
• Advanced experience with Microsoft Excel.
• Experience working on large Agile software development or data integration projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead the capture of business requirements for software development teams.
• Collaborate with users, IT, and leadership to document requirements in ALM tools.
• Manage requirements in an ALM tool and perform Agile requirement management.
• Analyze user needs to determine functional, cross-functional, and technical requirements.
• Conduct user interviews and develop business process models and specifications.
• Gather and document business, functional, technical, and non-technical requirements with stakeholders.
• Elaborate user stories, decompose backlog items, and define acceptance criteria.
• Use JIRA for requirements management, testing, and defect management.
• Collect, track, and monitor system and business requirements; validate and integrate.
• Conduct backlog refinement sessions and coordinate with Systems Engineers.
• Manage requirements for various projects and deliver project documents to the client.
• Identify risks and issues; develop and maintain project/product backlogs.
• Own change control and develop Change Requests per policies.
• Ensure proper configuration management for project artifacts; ensure traceability.
