Akron Children's Rebecca D. Considine Research Institute seeks a Senior Biostatistician to empower PIs in developing robust study protocols and to conduct advanced analyses across hospital research programs. The role includes mentoring new researchers and contributing to a program of research.

Proven leadership and communication are essential. The position supports full-time, 40 hours/week, Mon-Fri, 8am-4:30pm, with a remote work option.

Qualifications

• PhD in Biostatistics or Statistics is required.
• Minimum 5 years of biostatistical analysis experience in research/academic setting.
• Demonstrated collaborations through publications or conference presentations.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with PIs to design statistically sound study protocols.
• Provide statistical analysis guidance for projects.
• Conduct complex analyses using SAS, R or Python.
• Lead analytical plans for protocols, grants and manuscripts.
• Mentor junior biostatisticians and foster knowledge sharing.
• Interpret results with cross-functional teams and provide insights.
• Stay current with statistical methodologies and adopt innovative approaches.
• Ensure data quality through validation and cleaning procedures.
• Assist in statistical aspects of regulatory submissions as needed.
• Participate in meetings and committees within the organization.
• Create educational materials for researchers, residents, students and staff.
