Job summary

Qualifications

• Master's or Ph.D. in Biostatistics, Statistics, Epidemiology, or a related field.
• Strong background in statistical theory and applied biostatistics, including regression analysis, survival analysis, and multivariate techniques.
• Proficiency in statistical software packages such as R, SAS, STATA, or SPSS.
• Experience with clinical trial data analysis, public health research, or epidemiological studies is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with researchers to design and plan statistical analyses for studies, including determining the most appropriate methods and tools.
• Perform statistical analysis on complex biological, medical, or epidemiological data using a variety of statistical software (e.g., SAS, R, SPSS, STATA).
• Interpret and communicate statistical results to non-statistical audiences, including researchers, healthcare providers, and policy makers.
• Develop and maintain statistical models, including predictive and risk models.
• Provide statistical support for the design of clinical trials, observational studies, and other research initiatives.
• Conduct power analysis, sample size calculations, and ensure the proper handling of missing data.
• Write statistical analysis plans, reports, and publications, including providing input for grant proposals and scientific papers.
• Assist with the validation and quality control of data, ensuring accuracy and integrity.
• Stay current with advancements in statistical methods, software, and trends in biostatistics.
• Contribute to the training and mentoring of junior staff or collaborators in statistical techniques and methodologies.
