Placements24 is seeking a highly skilled Senior Biophysicist for a fully remote role within the R&D team. You will advance understanding of molecular mechanisms and design novel therapies by applying physical principles to biology, leading research efforts and publishing findings.

The ideal candidate has a PhD in Biophysics or related field, 5+ years post‑doc/industry experience, and hands‑on work with biophysical techniques.

Qualifications

• PhD in Biophysics or related field required.
• At least 5 years post‑doctoral or industry research experience.
• Expertise with biophysical characterization techniques.
• Proficiency in Python or R for data analysis.

Responsibilities

• Lead remote biophysics research projects and mentor researchers.
• Design, perform and interpret experiments using spectroscopy, calorimetry, X-ray crystallography, or cryo-EM.
• Develop computational models to analyze biophysical data and predict molecular behavior.
• Collaborate with biochemists, molecular biologists, and pharmacologists to advance drug discovery.
• Publish findings in high‑impact journals and present at conferences.
