Job summary

Bitsight is seeking a Senior Software Engineer (Big Data) to join our engineering team. This remote-first role focuses on building scalable data pipelines, ratings, and analytics for our Security Ratings product, with a cloud-first AWS stack and emphasis on reliability.

You will collaborate with data science and research teams, design for scale, and contribute to an environment that values initiative, collaboration, and continuous learning.

Qualifications

• Prior experience building and operating large-scale data pipelines.
• Strong proficiency in modern Java language programming.
• Strong computer science fundamentals in design, data structures, and algorithms.
• Experience working with a team of engineers, designers, and product owners in delivering a product to end-users.
• Excellent (English) written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Architect and evolve the data pipeline to support larger volumes via cloud data warehouses.
• Collaborate with data science and research teams to surface new features from existing data.
• Build trust with Bitsight customers in the quality and integrity of our data.
