Job summary

Bitsight is seeking a Senior Software Engineer (Big Data) to join our engineering team. This remote role US-only prefers candidates in Boston or Raleigh.

You will build and optimize data pipelines, work with a cloud data warehouse, and collaborate with data science to improve our risk ratings. You should have strong Java skills, deep data engineering experience, and familiarity with Hadoop/Spark and Iceberg-based lakehouse stacks.

Qualifications

• Experience building and operating large-scale data pipelines.
• Strong proficiency in modern Java language programming.
• Solid CS fundamentals in design, data structures, and algorithms.
• Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver end-user products.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication.

Responsibilities

• Build and operate large-scale data pipelines.
• Architect and evolve pipelines to support larger volumes in cloud data warehouses.
• Integrate new data sources and surface features for the rating algorithm.
• Collaborate with data science and research teams to ensure data quality and integrity.
