Placements24 is seeking a talented and experienced Remote Senior Backend Engineer to join our client's engineering team. The role focuses on designing, building, and deploying scalable backend systems powering critical applications, with full remote work and flexible hours.

You will collaborate with frontend, product, and cloud infrastructure teams, optimize performance, implement robust data stores, and contribute to code reviews and testing.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent practical experience.
• 5+ years backend development experience.
• Proficient in Python, Go, Java, or Node.js.
• Experience with relational and NoSQL databases.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) and microservices.
• Ability to work autonomously in a remote setting.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable code for backend services and APIs.
• Optimize application performance, database queries, and system architecture for maximum speed and scalability.
• Develop and implement robust data storage solutions, ensuring data integrity and security.
• Collaborate with frontend developers and product managers to integrate user-facing elements with server-side logic.
• Write comprehensive unit and integration tests to ensure code quality and application stability.
• Participate in code reviews, provide constructive feedback, and contribute to technical decision-making.
