Job summary

Devlane is a dynamic software development company delivering staff augmentation to clients worldwide, with a focus on North America and a strong LATAM presence. We are expanding our backend team for AI-driven document drafting and analysis workflows, seeking candidates proficient in Python and FastAPI who thrive in a collaborative environment.

You will work on scalable services, partnering with product and data teams, while embracing modern cloud and IaC practices.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of backend engineering experience with strong Python skills and production experience with FastAPI or a comparable framework.
• Experience with relational and document databases, particularly MySQL and MongoDB.
• Experience with async/event-driven patterns.
• Working knowledge of AWS microservices architecture, including ECS, RDS, or similar managed services.
• Familiarity with Terraform and infrastructure-as-code.
• gRPC/Protobuf is a plus.
• Exposure to data pipelines, cloud data warehouses, or AI/LLM integrations is a strong plus.
• B2 English level.

Responsibilities

• Build backend services powering AI-driven document drafting and analysis workflows.
• Collaborate with product and data teams to deliver reliable, scalable systems.
• Contribute to design, testing, and deployment of services with a focus on quality.
