Affirm, Inc. is seeking a Senior Engineer to define and evolve workload safety standards for its EKS fleet, owning end-to-end design, prototyping, onboarding, and policy guardrails.

You will lead cross-team initiatives, mentor engineers, and ensure workloads meet reliability and performance targets. You will work on isolating workloads by criticality, analyzing resource profiles, and shaping capacity planning across clusters, while staying aligned with best practices from the Kubernetes

Qualifikationen

• 5+ years of experience running Kubernetes in production at scale
• Experience enforcing configuration standards through admission control and policy-as-code

Aufgaben

• Define and evolve workload safety standards for affirm's EKS fleet, including CPU/memory settings and workload isolation
• Own each standard end to end from research to onboarding and policy guardrails
• Lead cross-team initiatives and mentor engineers
• Isolate workloads by criticality to protect checkout and other critical paths
• Analyze workload profiles and drive EC2 instance strategy
• Participate in on-call for Kubernetes runtime issues across the fleet
