Primion Technology is hiring a Senior Backend Engineer (m/f/d) for a fully remote role with a 40-hour work week. You will build backend capabilities for real-time business processes, delivering value to customers worldwide.

Require 4+ years in backend development, strong Java/Spring Boot expertise, REST APIs, microservices and event-driven architectures. English proficiency at C1 level is essential.

Qualifications

• Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field; equivalent experience.
• 4+ years of backend development experience in distributed/event-driven environments.
• Strong expertise in Java, Spring Boot, REST APIs, microservices, and scalable design.
• Solid understanding of event-driven architectures, distributed systems, and reliable communication patterns.
• Experience with NoSQL databases, containerized applications, and modern software practices.
• Ability to translate concepts into robust, production-ready software solutions.
• Structured, ownership-driven and quality-focused mindset with strong communication.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain backend services, business logic, and platform capabilities powering real-time processes.
• Implement and enhance event-driven functionality for scalable data and message processing.
• Build and maintain integrations between the platform and external systems and devices.
• Implement workflow-driven solutions to connect processes, services, and event streams.
• Develop scalable APIs and service interfaces for reliable access to data and functionality.
• Ensure maintainability, performance and reliability through solid engineering practices.
• Collaborate with tech leads and engineering teams to translate architecture into software.
