Job summary

Coforge is hiring a Senior Backend Engineer to design, develop, and maintain reliable backend solutions using Java or Kotlin. The role focuses on large-scale, high-performance, and resilient systems, with collaboration across cross-functional teams and ongoing learning in a dynamic environment.

Ideal candidates have 2+ years of experience in backend development, strong English communication, and a drive to tackle new technical challenges in a remote setting from Costa Rica.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field with a minimum of 2 years of related experience; or an advanced degree with no prior experience.
• Proficiency in one or more modern backend programming languages, such as Java, Kotlin, or similar.
• Experience building and operating large-scale, high-performance, and resilient systems.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills in English, with the ability to work effectively across teams.
• Curiosity and willingness to learn, adapt, and take on new challenges.
