Job summary

Feedonomics, a leading commerce data platform, is seeking a Senior Software Engineer - Backend to join a fully remote engineering team. You will help design and scale core backend services powering high-performance, data-intensive SaaS solutions.

The role requires 5+ years in backend development with GoLang or similar languages, strong DB/cache experience, and solid knowledge of distributed systems. A BS in CS is preferred, and Kubernetes and New Relic experience are a plus.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of backend programming experience in languages like GoLang, Python, PHP or Java.
• 2+ years with MySQL, Redis, and non-relational storage.
• Strong understanding of DB schema design, caching and scalability.
• Knowledge of distributed systems and various communication protocols.
• Experience with Linux, CI/CD, and containerization tools (Docker).
• Authorized to work in the U.S. and BS or higher in CS or related field.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate on architecture, design, and development of scalable backend services.
• Resolve infrastructure problems via code and provide post-release support.
• Improve DevOps practices and CI/CD tooling for robust deployments.
• Propose architecture options and present to product owners and leadership.
• Conduct post-mortems to prevent repeat failures.
• Champion continuous improvement of infrastructure and systems.
