Job summary

Partner is seeking a Senior Backend Engineer to design, build, and operate core APIs and services in a remote capacity. The role emphasizes scalable, secure, and resilient systems with a strong emphasis on AI-assisted development and production readiness.

You will collaborate with Analysts and Product Owners to ensure clear contracts and executable requirements while shaping the service architecture and ownership of outcomes.

Qualifications

• Extensive backend experience across Java, Python, .NET, Node.js, or TypeScript.
• Strong API-first, microservices design with distributed systems patterns.
• Hands-on AWS, containers, CI/CD, and IaC practices.
• Experience with contract testing, observability, and production support.
• Familiarity with AI-assisted delivery and agent-generated outputs.
• Ability to model ontologies, taxonomies, and semantic relationships.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, test, deploy, and operate cloud-native backend services and APIs.
• Implement orchestration services, domain workflows, and event-driven patterns.
• Develop integrations with enterprise and third-party platforms.
• Leverage AI copilots to accelerate development while ensuring quality.
• Create automated tests across unit, integration, and performance scopes.
• Contribute to API standards, reusable patterns, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Own production readiness, monitoring, incident response, and improvements.
• Collaborate with Analysts and Product Owners to clarify requirements.
