Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking an experienced Cloud Platform Engineer Leader to drive Azure platform initiatives in Plano, TX. You will mentor a 4–6 person cloud team, shape architecture, and push automation and standardization across projects.

Responsibilities include developing IaC modules, enabling self‑service infrastructure, and collaborating with security, networking, and development teams to deliver scalable, compliant cloud solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in information technology or related field.
• 7+ years of experience in cloud infrastructure, cloud engineering, or platform engineering roles.
• 3+ years of leadership experience managing or mentoring technical engineering teams.
• Strong recent hands‑on experience designing and supporting Azure cloud platforms.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Bicep, ARM, or similar).
• Experience implementing or supporting CI/CD platforms and automation frameworks.
• Strong understanding of Azure networking, identity, security, monitoring, and governance capabilities.
• Experience driving cloud standardization, automation, and operational maturity initiatives.
• Azure certifications or equivalent practical experience (preferred).

• Drive cloud automation initiatives using Infrastructure as Code, policy‑as‑code, and CI/CD tooling.
• Develop standardized cloud platform services, golden paths, and deployment templates to improve consistency and operational efficiency.
• Enable application teams to consume approved cloud services, deployment templates, and CI/CD capabilities through standardized engineering practices.
• Support enterprise cloud transformation initiatives focused on standardization, automation, governance, and operational maturity.
