Job summary

Koniag Services, Inc. seeks a Senior AWS Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) to support CRM, Integration, and Platform Services in a remote capacity. The role emphasizes AWS cloud platform engineering, Kubernetes operations, CI/CD, observability, and reliability for a government-focused environment.

The ideal candidate has 7+ years in site reliability, strong AWS expertise, and holds or can obtain a Public Trust clearance. A related Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
• 7+ years of site reliability, production ops, and cloud platform engineering.
• Hands-on AWS implementation and operations experience.
• Experience with Agile delivery teams and translating needs into outcomes.
• AWS certifications or comparable cloud credentials.
• Experience with federal government IT environments and Public Trust programs.
• Familiarity with Section 508, cybersecurity, auditability, and data protection.

Responsibilities

• Design and sustain AWS capabilities using AWS, EKS, ECS, Terraform, and security automation.
• Implement and improve CI/CD pipelines, IaC, container ops, monitoring, and secure deployment automation.
• Translate requirements into practical technical solutions for mission-aligned platforms.
• Support platform architecture, backlog refinement, and release readiness.
• Develop reusable patterns, automation, and runbooks to reduce risk.
• Troubleshoot complex issues across platform components, data, APIs, and identity.
