Cognizant Technology Solutions Corporation is seeking a Senior AWS Cloud Architect (Migration) to lead the end-to-end VMware-to-AWS transformation remotely. You will define cloud architecture, migration strategy, and governance, while guiding architects, engineers, and stakeholders through the migration program.

The role emphasizes AI-enabled migration, landing zones, and containerization with ECS/EKS, Route 53, and security compliance, with a strong leadership component and a remote-first setup.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of experience in cloud architecture and migrations.
• Experience leading VMware-to-AWS migrations using MGN and related services.
• Ability to define landing zone architecture and migration roadmaps.
• Strong governance, security, and IaC with Terraform.

Responsibilities

• Lead discovery, assess dependencies, and plan migration strategies using AWS 6R.
• Define target AWS landing zones and migration roadmaps.
• Lead AI-driven migration using Agentic AI platforms and Claude services.
• Provide technical leadership for VMware workload migration to AWS MGN.
• Enforce IaC standards with Terraform and integrate CI/CD.
• Guide architecture governance and mentor teams.
