Job summary

Cognizant is seeking a Senior AWS Cloud Architect (Migration) to lead end-to-end VMware-to-AWS migrations, define target architectures, and govern modernization programs. The role emphasizes AI-assisted tooling and scalable cloud design across EC2, ECS/EKS, and serverless services.

Strong leadership and extensive AWS experience are required. The role is remote with a high bar for 15+ years in cloud and migration domains, and offers contributions to architecture governance and client advisory

Qualifications

• 15+ years of experience in cloud architecture and migration leadership.
• Proven ability to lead end-to-end VMware-to-AWS migrations.
• Strong expertise in AWS services and landing zones.
• Experience with IaC tooling (Terraform) and CI/CD integration.
• Experience with AI-driven migration workflows and Agentic tools.
• Proficiency with migration tools like Matilda, AWS Discovery, Device42.

Responsibilities

• Lead discovery and assessment for AWS migration readiness.
• Define target AWS landing zone and migration roadmaps.
• Lead AI-driven migration enablement and automated validation.
• Oversee migration execution using AWS MGN and modernization to ECS/EKS.
• Enforce IaC standards and deployment best practices.
• Provide governance, risk management, and executive stakeholder guidance.
