Job summary

micro1 is seeking a Senior Aviation Maintenance Inspector to support a remote US-based contractor project. You will review maintenance manuals, IPCs, and regulatory documents to inform AI training with precise, compliant data.

Ideal candidates hold FAA A&P and/or IA, 8+ years in aircraft maintenance/inspection, and strong ability to interpret borescope images, approach plates, and FAA Parts 43, 121, 135, 145 regulations. Excellent written and verbal communication is essential.

Qualifications

• FAA Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) certificate or Inspection Authorization (IA)
• 8+ years of hands-on aircraft maintenance and inspection experience
• Experience with borescope engine inspection and interpretation of imagery and reports
• Ability to read and interpret maintenance manuals, IPCs, and approach plates
• Strong knowledge of FAA Parts 43, 121, 135, and 145 regulations
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Experience as a check airman or in mentoring roles is a plus

Responsibilities

• Review, analyze, and annotate aircraft maintenance manuals, IPCs, and related technical documents
• Evaluate borescope engine inspection data, identify anomalies and recommend corrective actions per FAA standards
• Assess composite structure inspection processes and outcomes for regulatory compliance
• Interpret approach plates and flight operations briefing materials with detailed feedback
• Deliver written and verbal insights to inform AI model development for aviation contexts
• Cross-reference maintenance tasks with FAA Parts 43, 121, 135, and 145 for compliance and accurate representation
• Contribute SME input to refine and validate AI training data sets in aviation contexts
