Job summary

Platform Housing Group is seeking a Senior Assistant Rent Accountant to ensure accurate rent and property stock data, reporting rent performance to the Group, and supporting external regulatory returns. The role is data-driven, requiring strong Excel skills and the ability to forecast and analyse large datasets.

The successful candidate will interact with various stakeholders, manage a customer-focused service, and travel to group offices about every two weeks, with flexibility for home-based

Qualifications

• AAT Level 3 or equivalent qualification.
• Experience of accounting in a large and complex organisation with substantial budgets.
• Excellent ICT skills including cloud technologies, Excel and Word.
• Experience of data analysis and reconciliation.
• Experience of delivering a customer-driven service.
• Ability to interpret information, research, analyse data, assess performance, and manage risk.

Responsibilities

• Ensure property information is accurately recorded to report rent performance to the Group.
• Provide finance support for completing external regulatory returns relating to rent and property stock.
• Work with large volumes of data and liaise with stakeholders to support decision making.
• Travel to Group offices approximately every two weeks; based within commuting distance of Birmingham or Worcester.
