FunnelStory is seeking an Applied ML Engineer to enhance production models for churn, retention, and account segmentation. You will own prediction quality, investigate errors, and ship improvements customers can trust.

Location: Remote. Employment: full-time contractor with FunnelStory, a USA-based company. Requires 5+ years of applied ML experience, strong SQL, Go, and Python, and a proven production-model track record.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of applied ML experience with structured business data in production.
• Strong foundations in mathematics and statistics.
• Experience owning a production model used for business decisions.
• Ability to ship changes inside a production Go/Python codebase.
• Experience investigating prediction errors and explaining them to non-ML audiences.

Responsibilities

• Improve churn, retention, and account segmentation models using customer data.
• Evaluate predictions against real outcomes and backtest with time-aware methods.
• Investigate incorrect predictions and gaps in labels or data sources.
• Ship improvements into the existing Go product, not just notebooks.
• Explain model performance to customers in business terms.
