Job summary

CHS Inc. is seeking a Senior AP Specialist to join its finance team in a remote role. The position provides day-to-day support for business unit customers and vendors through the procure-to-pay process and seeks efficiencies within corporate structures and controls.

The role processes vendor invoices within ERP systems, ensures compliance with policies, and participates in special projects as assigned, collaborating with stakeholders to maintain accurate records and timely payments.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in Finance, Accounting, and/or AP/AR.
• Proficient in MS Office and accounting software.

Responsibilities

• Address and resolve escalated issues in procure-to-pay processes.
• Process PO and non-PO invoices in a timely, compliant manner.
• Collaborate with vendors and internal stakeholders to resolve discrepancies.
• Ensure timely invoicing, collections, and banking deposits.
• Maintain client files and improve invoicing/collection procedures.
• Monitor invoice processing and ensure timely payments.
• Review documentation for proper systems setup and accounting compliance.
• Maintain records for tax preparation and audits.
• Train and guide Accounts Receivable/Payable team members.
• Track data receipts and source documents; stay aligned with payment standards.
• Prepare and sort source documents; interpret data for entry.
• Coordinate with preparers to resolve data questions or omissions.
• Perform data entry in AP/AR systems and correct data as needed.
• Handle additional duties as assigned.
