Job summary

Rocket Money seeks a Senior Analytics Engineer to shape our analytics architecture. You will design scalable dimensional models, surface self-serve data for analysts, and own data quality across the pipeline.

You’ll translate business questions into technical requirements while partnering with Data Engineering and product teams to strengthen data governance and instrumentation. Ideal candidates bring 5+ years in analytics engineering or data roles, deep modeling expertise, and production dbt

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in analytics engineering, data engineering, or related roles.
• Deep data modeling expertise with dimensional modeling and grain concepts.
• Production dbt experience with model materialization, testing, and macros.
• 2+ years of BI tooling experience, Looker preferred, with stakeholder-focused delivery.
• Strong cross-functional communication and ability to influence decisions.
• Experience with finance or financial services data and contracts.
• Experience with BigQuery, dbt Cloud, Looker, Amplitude, DeepNote.

Responsibilities

• Design and build dimensional models that scale using dbt + BigQuery.
• Own data quality and monitoring for the models you build.
• Collaborate with Data Analysts and BI to enable self-service analysis.
• Translate business needs into technical requirements and prioritize work.
• Lead root-cause investigations on data discrepancies across the pipeline.
