Job summary

EY is seeking a security-focused leader to join Challenger Core, building reusable AI security patterns and practical controls across data, tools, and processes. You’ll work with product and engineering teams to prove controls under adversarial conditions and turn findings into scalable solutions.

Qualifications

• Strong foundations in application, cloud, platform, identity, data and software delivery security.
• Ability to model prompts, retrieval, agents, tools, users and external services to create attack paths and failure modes.
• Experience translating threats into preventive, detective, and responsive controls that engineers can implement.

Responsibilities

• Set the security direction. Own reusable AI security patterns, control objectives, reference architectures and threat models.
• Join builders early to identify credible attack paths and shape controls that fit the product and delivery model.
• Design scoped authority for identity, access, isolation, approvals and recovery.
• Protect sensitive information across the data lifecycle ensuring confidentiality, integrity, provenance and permitted use.
• Secure the delivery path with automated security tests, policy gates, trusted artifacts and safe rollbacks.
• Test adversarially with red-team exercises and convert findings into repeatable tests and stronger patterns.
• Build runtime protection using evidence and behavioral signals to detect abnormal actions and privilege misuse.
• Strengthen response with clear evidence, containment options and recovery actions.
• Advise on residual risk with concise technical recommendations and accountable owners.
• Build shared capability by creating reference implementations and coaching engineers.
