Job summary

Absci is seeking a Senior/Staff AI Scientist to advance and deploy protein design models for antibody drug design, applying deep learning, NLP, computer vision, and molecular dynamics to create innovative in silico approaches.

This remote role offers optional onsite work at our New York City office or Vancouver, WA headquarters for candidates within commuting distance, with access to industry-leading compute resources.

Qualifications

• PhD or equivalent in ML, CS, computational biology/chemistry, biophysics, or related field.
• 3+ years of research at the intersection of ML and protein design, molecular modeling, or related field (industry preferred).
• Fluency in Python and PyTorch.
• Experience with AI algorithms for protein design and structure prediction.
• Strong publication record in respected journals/conferences.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with AI Research, AI Engineering, Computational Biology, and Protein Engineering to advance design pipelines.
• Develop novel test-time compute strategies and multi-objective optimization for design goals.
• Analyze in silico and in vitro results to iteratively improve methods.
• Publish high-impact research and share insights with scientists across domains.
• Learn new technical skills to enhance scientific contributions.
