Job summary

Instructure Foundry seeks a Senior Builder to own architectural integrity of AI-enabled products, working in a two-person pod with a non-technical Founder. You’ll ensure security, scale, and code quality, hands-on in Git, and drive pilot-paced development toward general availability.

You will verify AI output at high volume, translate product intent into feasible system actions, and collaborate across a lean operating team to ship reliable software remotely.

Qualifications

• Proven experience shipping production software with reliability and security in the real world.
• Senior engineering judgment directing and verifying AI output at high volume.
• Fluency, or fast-developing fluency, with AI-assisted development.
• Comfort owning security and scale without a platform team.

Responsibilities

• Own the architectural integrity of the product and stand behind it when it ships.
• Take responsibility for code quality, security, and scalability across AI-generated code.
• Build hands-on in Git with AI development tooling, piloting pacing and hardening toward GA.
• Direct and verify more code than you hand-write and catch what matters before it ships.
• Decide what’s safe to ship now and what needs closer inspection, owning that judgment.
• Write context back to the shared system so the Founder and operating team work off the same surface.
